Infinix launched the Infinix HOT 70 Pro 5G, the company’s latest 5G smartphone in the HOT 70 series, in India earlier today. Here we have the unboxing and first impressions of the phone.

The phone has a 6.76-inch (1080×2344 pixels) FHD+ LCD screen with 144Hz refresh rate. The screen is bright since it has 760 nits (TYP) and up to 910 nits (HBM Brightness).
There is an 8MP front camera inside the notch. The earpiece is present on the top edge, but it doesn’t double up as a secondary speaker. There is a large bezel below the screen, which is common in LCD phones.
Under the hood, the Hot 60i 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 processor. It has support for several 5G bands, has 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage.
The phone runs Android 16 with XOS 16 on top with several features. Infinix has committed to providing three major Android OS updates alongside five years of security patches.
Coming to button placements and ports, the power button that integrates the fingerprint scanner is present on the right side along with volume rockers. You can also see the customizable one-tap button below it. The hybrid dual SIM slot is present on the left side. The primary microphone, USB Type-C port and the loudspeaker grill are present on the bottom. It is just 7.85mm thick.
The phone has a 50MP rear camera with Sony IMX882 sensor, f/1.79 aperture, and the LED flash is next to it. It supports 2K 30fps video recording from both the front and rear cameras. Check out some camera samples.
The Silk Glow Purple color that we have has attractive patterns on the back. It includes an official IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, an uncommon inclusion at this price tier. It features what the brand calls an Active Matrix Cube (AMC) on the rear panel, designed to render ambient lighting animations and notifications for incoming calls, messages, countdowns, charging status, and gaming.
It packs a 6,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, 10W reverse wired charging, and bypass charging.
The Infinix HOT 70 Pro 5G starts at Rs. 24,999, and the effective price is Rs. 22,999 with Rs. 2000 bank discount as a part of launch offer. The phone will be available from Flipkart and Infinix India online store starting from September 7th.
