Synology DiskStation neo+ Series NAS launched


Synology has launched the DiskStation neo+ Series, comprising the DS1825neo+, DS1525neo+, DS925neo+, and DS725neo+. The new models are built on the same platform as the DS Plus Series and come with 4GB non-ECC DDR4 SODIMM memory as the default configuration. The neo+ Series will be available alongside the standard DS Plus Series models.

The four models feature:

  • Built-in M.2 slots for SSD caching
  • 2.5GbE ports
  • Storage expansion through the DX525 expansion unit
  • Support for existing ECC memory upgrade options, with memory expandable up to 32GB

The DS1825neo+ and DS1525neo+ additionally feature PCIe 3.0 slots for optional 10GbE or 25GbE network adapter cards.

The models run Synology DiskStation Manager (DSM), which provides features for data sharing, synchronization, backup, and surveillance. Its key applications include:

  • Synology Drive: Provides private cloud functionality with cross-platform access and site-to-site synchronization for distributed teams.
  • Active Backup Suite: Supports Windows, Linux, and macOS devices, virtual machines, and cloud accounts, with off-site backup options.
  • Surveillance Station: Provides an on-premises NVR for multi-site security monitoring.

The Synology DiskStation neo+ Series is now available through Synology’s global distribution channels at the following prices:

  • DS725neo+: Rs. 61,123
  • DS925neo+: Rs. 67,632
  • DS1525neo+: Rs. 98,304
  • DS1825neo+: Rs. 1,22,687
