Google just introduced the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, and Pixel 11 Pro XL, the company’s latest flagship smartphones, and also launched these in India, as it had promised.
The updated line focuses on performance improvements, enhanced durability, upgraded camera hardware, and deeper integration with Google’s Gemini AI ecosystem.
Hardware and Design Updates
All three models feature a refreshed design centered around an edge-to-edge glass camera bar. On the base Pixel 11, the camera bar’s thickness has been reduced by 40%, creating a flush appearance when paired with official Made by Google cases and preventing device wobble on flat surfaces.
- Pixel 11: Features an Actua display, satin metal frame, and polished glass back. It launches in four colors: Pistachio, Hibiscus, Frost, and Obsidian.
- Pixel 11 Pro & 11 Pro XL: Feature Google’s Super Actua display, capable of reaching up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness. The screen includes a new anti-scratch coating offering more than double the scratch resistance of previous generations. Color options include Canyon, Fog, Olive, and an all-matte Obsidian.
Charging and Durability Features
- Storage: All models now start at 256GB of base storage.
- Wireless Charging: Built-in Pixelsnap magnet integration, with the Pixel 11 and Pixel 11 Pro adding support for Qi 2.2 25W wireless charging.
- Wired Charging: The Pixel 11 Pro XL can gain up to 15 hours of battery life from a 15-minute fast-charging session.
The “HiLight” Notification System
Exclusive to the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL, HiLight is a subtle contextual alert system. Embedded LED lights surrounding the rear camera flash project customizable glowing patterns when the phone is face down:
- Signals status updates when Gemini is listening, processing, or responding.
- Allows users to assign custom color codes to key contacts for incoming call identification.
