Lava has expanded its entry-level smartphone lineup in India with the launch of the Lava Smart 4 after the launch of Smart 4 Plus. Aimed primarily at first-time smartphone buyers and young users, the device focuses on essential functionality, battery life, and physical durability at an accessible price point.
It packs a 6.56-inch qHD LCD screen with 90Hz refresh rate, is powered by a UNISOC SC9863A processor with 3GB of RAM with 3GB of virtual RAM with RAM expansion, and runs Android 16 Go Edition.
The phone has an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP camera on the front. It packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging over USB Type-C. It has Military Grade certification (MIL-STD-810H).

The Lava Smart 4 comes in two color options: Konark Gold and Ajanta Grey and is priced at Rs. 8,499 in India. It is available through offline Lava retail outlets and service provider networks, with financing options offered across participating physical stores.
