vivo is gearing up to introduce the X300s in China sometime later this month as the successor to last year’s X200s. vivo executive Han Boxiao today shared official details regarding the upcoming Vivo X300s, clarifying the device’s naming convention and outlining significant hardware upgrades.
Addressing recent online leaks surrounding a device dubbed the “X300 Max,” Han confirmed that while the “Max” designation was discussed internally due to the phone’s large form factor and upgraded internals, Vivo ultimately decided to maintain user familiarity. The device will officially launch as the Vivo X300s, with the “s” standing for “SuperMax” to reflect its expanded dimensions and capabilities.
The X300s is positioned as a large-screen flagship designed for users seeking a balance between high-end photography and robust gaming performance. Han noted that while the X300 Ultra serves as the “professional” imaging tier, the X300s is equipped with a Zeiss 200MP image sensor to ensure flagship-level camera performance without compromising on processing power.
Key Hardware Upgrades
The X300s will feature comprehensive updates across its visual, auditory, and tactile components:

-
Display: The device will pack a 6.78-inch flat screen utilizing BOE Q10 Plus material. It introduces a 144Hz refresh rate—a first for the vivo X series—and will support native 144FPS for large-scale MOBA mobile games. Additionally, the screen incorporates circular polarized light 2.0 technology, designed to make display lighting easier on the eyes.

-
Audio (Sound): The X300s adopts the “1511 War Drum Master” symmetrical dual speakers Pro, mirroring the audio hardware found in the iQOO 15. With large 1511 speakers positioned at both the top and bottom, along with upgraded amplifiers and algorithms, the setup aims to provide a wider sound field. For gaming, this translates to improved sound detail and spatial positioning for audio cues like footsteps and gunfire.

-
Haptics (Touch): Vivo has integrated a custom 751440 ultra-sensory vibration motor, which Han describes as the largest and most powerful in the history of the X series. Despite a smaller footprint and lighter weight than a standard 0816 motor, it reportedly matches the vibration intensity of a 1016 motor and offers 2.2 times the bandwidth of a traditional 9595 motor. The hardware supports customizable 4D game vibration for over 10 mainstream mobile games.

Last week Roland Quandt posted photos of the smartphone in a case, from MWC 2026 in Barcelona with two lenses positioned on either side of the Zeiss T* logo and a third lens placed above them. The phone is expected to feature a Dimensity 9500 chip and a 7000mAh battery.
We should know more details, including the launch date, in the coming days.
