
Apple has released iPadOS 26.1 and macOS Tahoe 26.1, introducing new customization options, multitasking tools, and system improvements. Both updates also include bug fixes, performance refinements, and security patches.
iOS and iPadOS 26.1
The latest updates for iPhone and iPad bring a tinted Liquid Glass option, improved multitasking tools, and new features for Apple Music, Camera, and FaceTime. iPad users also gain Slide Over windowing and Apple Vision Pro app integration, while iPhone users get expanded Live Translation with AirPods and manual workout logging in the Fitness app.

- Liquid Glass tint – Option to choose between the default clear appearance or a new tinted look that increases opacity in apps and notifications.
- Local capture improvements – Gain control is now available for external USB microphones, and users can select where local recordings are saved.
- Apple Music updates – MiniPlayer supports swipe gestures for next and previous tracks, and AutoMix is now available over AirPlay.
- Camera setting – Option to turn the Lock Screen swipe-to-open Camera gesture on or off.

iPadOS-only features
- Slide Over multitasking – Allows keeping a window on top of others, hiding it off-screen, and resizing it to preferred dimensions.
- Apple Vision Pro app – Now available on iPad, offering spatial content discovery and device information access.
macOS Tahoe 26.1
The macOS update focuses on refined visuals, better media support, and updated safety settings.
