Samsung have announced their results for the 2nd quarter of 2010 that ended on June 30th 2010.
Samsung reported an operating profit of 5.01 Trillion Won, around 4.2 Billion US Dollars which is a whopping 88% increase year on year. Their revenues were at 37.89 Trillion Won which is a 17% increase year on year.

Semiconductor
Semiconductor were one of the major profit earners with sales amounting to 9.53 Trillion Won and operating profit of 2.94 Trillion Won. The semiconductor business rose 765% compared to 2nd quarter of last year.
LCD Panels
Revenue of 7.76 Trillion Won and operating profit of 880 Billion Won. The sales increased by 15-20% compared to the same time last year.
Telecommunications
Revenue of 8.78 Trillion Woan nd operating profit of 630 Billion Won.
TV and Digital Appliances
Revenue of 14.54 Trillion Won and operating profit of 360 Billion Won.
