vivo India has officially announced the upcoming launch of the vivo V80 on October 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM, after teasers. The latest entry in the company’s V-Series lineup centers around upgraded imaging capabilities, display enhancements, extended battery capacity, and new software integration.
Imaging and AI Features
Co-engineered with ZEISS Optics, the camera system includes a 50 MP ZEISS OIS main camera equipped with a Sony LYTIA 700V (1/1.56″) sensor, alongside a 50 MP ZEISS Night Telephoto camera utilizing a 1/1.95″ IMX882 sensor with optical image stabilization, 3x optical zoom, and up to 100x zoom. The setup also features a ZEISS ultra-wide-angle camera on the rear and a 50 MP ZEISS Group Selfie camera on the front with a 92° wide-angle field of view and autofocus.
On the video front, the handset supports 4K Cinematic Video and 4K recording at 60 fps. vivo is pairing the hardware with over 30 AI-driven creative tools, including AI Diwali Portrait 2.0—which optimizes warm lighting, rangoli, and toran elements for festive imagery—as well as utility tools such as Pet Pals, Snap Note, and Security Shield.

- AI Diwali Portrait 2.0: Building on the festive imaging suite first popularized by the V60 series, version 2.0 is expected to bring smarter ambient light handling, refined skin tones under complex lighting, and cinematic festive glow tailored for celebrations.
Display and Design
The front of the vivo V80 is dominated by a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display featuring a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz and support for 1.07 billion colors. It achieves a local peak brightness of 5,000 nits while offering an ultra-low brightness mode down to 1 nit for eye protection in dim environments. The panel is framed by 1.25 mm bezels.
For its exterior build, the smartphone utilizes a one-piece cold-carved glass rear panel paired with a floating camera module. It will be available in three color finishes: Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black.
Battery and Charging
The device is equipped with a 7,200 mAh battery—the largest capacity featured in a V-Series handset to date. vivo rates the battery for up to 14 hours of continuous navigation and up to 39.5 hours of local video playback. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge, which the manufacturer states can replenish the battery to 50% in 30 minutes in Fast Charging Mode.
Software
The V80 marks the debut of OriginOS 7 out of the box on a V-Series smartphone, introducing vivo’s latest software optimizations and UI refinements to the series.
