FUJIFILM India has announced its upcoming participation at SEMICON India 2026, scheduled to take place from September 17 to 19 at the Yashobhoomi convention center in New Delhi.
Exhibiting at Hall 1, Booth 623, the company plans to present its semiconductor materials portfolio and outline efforts to integrate its global manufacturing expertise into India’s expanding microelectronics sector.
As India accelerates initiatives to build out domestic semiconductor fabrication and packaging capabilities, the availability of high-purity process materials, technical domain knowledge, and reliable supply chains remains a critical operational factor. Fujifilm’s participation centers on addressing these value-chain requirements through its established materials science division, which supplies inputs across multiple stages of front-end and back-end fabrication.
The exhibition follows previous strategic steps by the company to establish an operational footprint in the country. In June 2026, FUJIFILM India signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat State Electronics Mission (GSEM) to assess the viability of local semiconductor materials manufacturing in Gujarat and assist in building regional supply resilience.
Showcase Focus and Technical Demonstrations
At the event, Fujifilm will display materials designed for both legacy and leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing nodes, alongside displays detailing its alignment with domestic “Make in India” initiatives.
A central component of the exhibit will be a technical demonstration of the company’s Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) slurry solutions. CMP slurries play a key role in semiconductor fabrication by enabling precision planarization—the microscopic smoothing and leveling of wafer surfaces necessary to maintain pattern fidelity and process consistency across successive operational layers. FUJIFILM Electronic Materials currently maintains a significant share of the global market in this category.
Through the three-day exhibition, the company intends to conduct discussions with domestic and international chipmakers, supply chain partners, and government policymakers regarding localization potential, technology transfer, and raw material support tailored to India’s emerging fabrication roadmap.
