HONOR’s smartphone shipments grew 53% in H1 2026, leads the foldable smartphone market in Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong

HONOR recorded year-on-year smartphone shipment growth in the Middle East, Africa and Southeast Asia in the first half of 2026, according to data from Omdia and IDC.

According to Omdia, smartphone shipments in the Middle East declined 13% year-on-year in H1 2026, while HONOR’s shipments grew 35%. HONOR was the only leading vendor in the region to record growth and maintained a top-two position by market share for two consecutive quarters.

In Africa, HONOR’s smartphone shipments grew 53% year-on-year in the first half of 2026. In Southeast Asia, where overall smartphone shipments declined in H1 2026, HONOR recorded 15% growth among the region’s top manufacturers.

HONOR was also the fastest-growing top smartphone brand in Malaysia and the Philippines in Q2 2026, according to Omdia.

Foldable smartphones

According to IDC, HONOR ranked No. 1 in foldable smartphone market share with more than 50% share in several key markets, including:

  • Malaysia
  • Singapore
  • Hong Kong

Global smartphone shipments

IDC data shows that HONOR was the only Chinese Android smartphone manufacturer to record year-on-year shipment growth globally in H1 2026. Its global smartphone shipments increased 9%, making it the fastest-growing top Android smartphone vendor worldwide by shipments during the period.

Outlook

With its new logo, the recent HONOR Robot Phone launch in China, and shipment growth across multiple international markets, HONOR is expanding its focus across smartphones and other intelligent devices while maintaining a leading position in the foldable smartphone segment.
