Xiaomi has officially announced that its upcoming smartphone, the REDMI Note 17 5G, will debut in India on August 6th after it was introduced in China earlier this month. Dubbed the “mAhster Edition,” the device’s key marketing highlight is its massive battery, targeting consumers looking for long endurance.

The dedicated launch microsite on Xiaomi’s India website and online retail partner Amazon has confirmed several core details ahead of the launch event:
- Battery: An 8,000 mAh battery capacity designed to power extended daily usage.
- Display: An AMOLED panel featuring true-to-life colors. In line with its Chinese counterpart, it is expected to measure 7 inches with a 120Hz refresh rate.
- Colorways & Design: The device features a textured back panel with a squircle-shaped rear camera module, offered in light blue and purple variants.
