Google AI Studio gets vibe coding support with higher usage limits and Gemini Pro access

Google has updated Google AI Studio with higher usage limits and expanded model access for AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. The update focuses on enabling faster experimentation and application development with minimal setup, described by the company as support for “vibe coding.”

Higher usage limits with predictable costs

Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers now receive increased usage limits in AI Studio. This allows developers to run more prompts, test workflows, and iterate on ideas without reaching free-tier limits quickly.

The subscription model also introduces predictable costs, reducing the need to rely on API-based billing during early-stage development.

Access to Gemini Pro and Nano Banana Pro

The update adds access to models such as Gemini Pro and Nano Banana Pro. These models expand the range of supported tasks and allow developers to work with different capabilities directly within AI Studio.

Developer workflow and deployment

  • Faster path from idea to application: Developers can move from an initial concept to a working application in minutes with reduced setup requirements and support for iterative development.
  • Low-setup billing bridge: A Google AI subscription enables continued usage after free-tier limits without requiring immediate configuration of pay-per-request API keys.
  • Transition to API deployment: API-based usage remains the standard for production. Developers can switch to API integration within AI Studio when moving to deployment.
Availability

The update is rolling out to all Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Users can sign in with their linked account to access the features.
