Google TV is getting smarter with the rollout of new Gemini features that make exploring content on your big screen easier and more interactive.
Now, whether it’s catching up on sports, learning something new, or finding the perfect recipe, Gemini helps you get answers without endless scrolling or switching devices, the company said.
Google TV: New Gemini Features
- Richer Visual Help – Gemini now adapts its responses to provide the most relevant visuals and videos. Check live sports scores, watch recipe tutorials, or get movie information, all presented with a mix of text, visuals, and video.
- Interactive Deep Dives – Explore educational topics such as health, wellness, economics, and technology with narrated, visual walkthroughs. Deep dives include guided follow-up questions, turning screen time into an interactive learning experience. To start, ask Gemini and select “Dive deeper,” or visit the Gemini tab at the top of your Home screen and select Learn.
- Timely Sports Briefs – Stay up to date with quick, narrated summaries of NBA, NCAA basketball, NHL, MLB, MLS, and NWSL games. Sports briefs provide player news, game highlights, and league updates without needing to scroll through feeds. Access all sports briefs from the Gemini tab.
Availability
Richer visual help is rolling out now to Gemini-enabled devices in the U.S. and Canada. Deep dives and sports briefs are also available in the U.S., with broader device support coming this spring.
The Gemini voice assistant for Google TV will expand to more countries later this year, starting with Australia, New Zealand, and Great Britain this spring.
Note: Gemini for TV is optimized for large screens and requires Android TV OS 14+, a Google account, and an internet connection.
