Lumio, an Indian consumer technology brand, has announced the availability of its new home projector, the Lumio Arc 5, on Amazon.in. This launch follows the brand’s entry into the smart TV and home projector market with its Arc Series. The Arc 5 is presented as a more budget-friendly option compared to the Arc 7, which sold out during its initial release.
Features and Design
The Lumio Arc 5 is a portable projector, weighing 1.33 kg. It is designed to project an image up to 100 inches in size with a resolution of 1080p Full HD and HDR10 support. The projector uses Lumio’s ArcLight Engine, which is described as sealed and dust-free.
For audio, the device includes two 5W speakers and dual passive radiators with Dolby Audio support. The setup process is facilitated by features such as STR8 auto-keystone correction, a TOF sensor for autofocus, and obstacle avoidance.
Unlike many projectors in its price range, the Arc 5 is Google TV certified and includes native support for apps like Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube. It is powered by an MTK 9630 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The projector comes with a new remote control that features Google Assistant voice control and dedicated shortcut buttons.
Additional Details
The Arc 5 has a brightness of 200 ANSI lumens, which is suitable for use in dimly lit environments. The device is also equipped with the TLDR app, which provides a dashboard for sports and music content. The sports section offers live updates, schedules, and analysis for various sports, while the music section features curated playlists and integration with YouTube Music.
Lumio states that every Arc projector is “Built for India,” having been tested for local environmental conditions. The company also offers a nationwide service network and a one-year warranty.
