POCO already confirmed the launch of the POCO F6, the company’s next smartphone in the ‘F series’ will launch in India on May 23rd.
Today, at the Qualcomm India event, POCO confirmed that the POCO F6 will be the first phone in India to be powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC in India.
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 uses the same architecture as the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, including ISP, Display, Memory and Modem Architecture, has the same flagship X4 core and uses the same 4nm TSMC fabrication.
It supports 10 billion parameters for on-device AI, multi-modal generative AI, and supports a broad array of AI models including popular large language models (LLM) such as Baichuan-7B, Llama 2 and Gemini Nano.
POCO said that the F6 powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 has scored over 1.5 million or 15 lakh points on AnTuTu.
POCO Global claims 1.53 million points on AnTuTu 10. This will be a direct competition to the realme GT 6T that is also launching in India next week powered by Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which also claims 1.5 million AnTuTu score.
According to earlier reports, this will be the global version of the Redmi Turbo 3, which was introduced in China last month, so we can expect a 6.67″ 1.5K 120Hz OLED screen, 50MP rear camera with Sony LYT-600 sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 5000mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging.
