OnePlus 12 with 6.82″ 2K 1-120Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, up to 24GB RAM, 5400mAh battery announced

OnePlus just announced the OnePlus 12, the company’s latest flagship smartphone in China, as it had promised. It has a 6.82″ BOE X1 2K AMOLED screen with a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, is powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC with support for up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, and has 9140mm² VC heat dissipation area.

The phone has self-developed Display P1 chip, which has been specially optimized for lifespan protection for high brightness. The OnePlus 12’s “TIME Design” design is inspired by luxury watches with hollow-curved design. The time scales, starry dial, and circular characters on the camera module engrave the passage of time.

The phone still retains the three-stage alert slide, but the company has repositioned it to the left-hand side of the phone, which allows OnePlus to introduce a new integrated antenna and the Alert Slider solution on the new device to deliver an enhanced antenna performance for gaming, said the company.

The white has new generation of ceramic glass technology leaves a blank space without changing the original intention, the Flowy Emerald colorway has emerald green glass technology, and patterns are inspired from the braided channels of Dart River, and the black has a matte finish that has silk glass craftsmanship.

It has Sony LYT-808 sensor for the main camera, 64MP OV64B periscope telephoto lens with an equivalent focal length of 70mm, support for 3x optical zoom, 6x in-sensor zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. It also has a 48MP Ultra-Wide Camera. The phone has 4th Gen Hasselblad Camera for Mobile.

The OnePlus 12 has IP65 dustproof and waterproof ratings, and packs a 5400mAh battery with support for 100W SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless flash charging, and also supports wireless reverse charging. It can be charged up to 100% in 26 minutes for wired and 55 minutes for wireless.

The OnePlus 12 is priced 4299 yuan (US$ 606 / Rs. 50,650 approx.) for the 12GB + 256GB model, 4799 yuan (US$ 677 / Rs. 56,465 approx.) for the 16GB + 512GB model, 5299 yuan (US$ 747 / Rs. 62,440 approx.) for the 16GB + 1TB model and the top-end 24GB + 1TB model costs 5799 yuan (US$ 818  / Rs. 68,335 approx.).

It is now available to order and will go on sale in China starting from December 11th. We should know the global and the India price when it launches in early 2024.
