Nothing Phone (2)’s USB Type-C cable has a transparent design

Ahead of the launch of the Nothing Phone (2) in July, the next premium ‘Nothing’ smartphone, the company’s founder Carl Pei has posted the image of the USB Type-C cable for the phone showing off the new design.

This comes in a new silver coloured finish with a transparent design for the outer shell, that should match the phone’s transparent design. It also has ‘Nothing’ branding. The colour of the cable is white, similar to the one that was provided with the Phone (1).

The Phone (2) is not expected to come with a charger in the box. The company is already selling a 45W PD wall charger for the Phone (1), even though it only supports up to 33W PD charging. We will have to wait to find out if the company is planning to increase the charging speed in the Phone (2).

We will also have to wait for the launch to find out if the company is planning to sell the new USB Type-C cable as an accessory, since the design looks different.

The Nothing Phone (2) will come with a 6.7-inch display, will be powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and pack a 4700mAh battery. It will be manufactured in India for Indian consumers and the company says that it will be one of the most sustainable smartphones in the market.
