iQOO Z7 with 5000mAh battery, 120W fast charging and Z7X with 6000mAh battery to be announced on March 20


After rumours and teasers, iQOO has confirmed the launch of mid-range Z7 series smartphones in China on March 20th. The Z7 is different from the model that is launching in India on March 21st, and is the successor to the Z6 and Z6x models that were introduced in China last year.

iQOO has confirmed that the Z7 will pack a 5000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging compared to 4500mAh battery with 80W fast charging in the predecessor. The Z7X will retain the same 6000mAh battery, but will get 80W fast charging compared to 44W in the Z6X.

According to leaker Digital Chat Station, the iQOO Z7 will feature a FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen and will be powered by Snapdragon 782G SoC compared to Snapdragon 778G Plus in the predecessor. It will come with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage, and packs a 64MP main camera with OIS.

The iQOO Z7x is said to be powered by Snapdragon 695 SoC compared to Dimensity 810 processor in the predecessor. The image reveals OIS support for the Z7X as well. Both the phones will have dual rear cameras.
