Twitter Super Follow subscription feature said to launch soon

Twitter has been working on multiple features lately that are designed to bring more revenue for the company. One such feature is called Super Follow, where users will be able to charge their followers for some extra exclusive content. The feature has been in the works for some months now, and is reportedly about to be launched soon.

New screenshots were posted by software reverse engineer, Jane Manchun Wong, who has accurately revealed many features from Twitter in the past.

The screenshots show the application process for enabling Super Follows for an account. To qualify for the feature, Twitter will require users to have at least 10000 followers and have posted at least 25 tweets in the last 30 days.

Wong also showed various categories that Twitter offers to describe the user’s content on their account, such as ‘Gaming’, ‘Podcast’, ‘Tech’, ‘Writing’ and she also noted that ‘Adult Content’ was part of the category.

The feature is expected to work similarly to Patreon, where users can provide exclusive content to interested followers, for example, an artist could provide a sneak peek to new and upcoming content.

While the screenshots don’t reveal any pricing information, earlier rumours suggest that Twitter will charge $4.99/month to become a Super Follow.
