Google Meet now supports Google Cast and Google Duo Beta is coming to Android TVs soon

Google has announced new ways to conduct video calls on their two video conferencing apps. Google Meet is now receiving support for Google Cast, enabling users to cast their videos to any Chromecast enabled device and Google Duo is rolling out a beta app for Android TVs in the coming weeks.

With Meet receiving Cast support, users in distance learning, such as teachers and students, can quickly take their education to the big screen. For students, this can free their laptop to take notes during lessons and for teachers, they can get a broader view of their students on call. Casting will be supported on Chromecast, TVs with built-in Chromecasts and Nest displays.

Secondly, Google is finally bringing Duo to Android TVs via a beta app inn the coming weeks. Users can one-on-one and group calls from their TV, and can either a USB camera or an in-built camera if the TV has one. We expect the beta app to pretty basic in features at the beginning, however Google is sure to add features to the app as soon as possible.
