OnePlus recently confirmed that the OnePlus Nord will be unveiled in the world’s first AR smartphone launch on 21 July 2020 at 7:30pm IST. It also launched OnePlus Nord AR App to experience the app. Today it has confirmed that it will start selling special invitation that will allow users a hands-on experience of the OnePlus Nord through AR technology.
This invitation will be available on Amazon.in for Rs. 99 from tomorrow, July 11th onwards at 12noon. Users who purchase the AR launch invitations will also get a chance to participate in the Launch Day Lottery on Amazon and win an assured gift, said the company.
How to use the OnePlus Nord AR launch invitation?
- Download the OnePlus Nord AR App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- Install the app and accept permissions necessary for the AR experience
- Launch the app and follow instructions to set up your avatar and the app
- Scan the QR code (Using camera, Google Lens or QR code scanner) on the invite to initiate the WEB AR experience.
- After you load the WEB AR experience, scan the AR invitation to go hands-on with the upcoming OnePlus Nord device
The launch event can be viewed on the OnePlus Nord AR app at 7:30PM IST on 21 July 2020 by following the instruction. OnePlus Nord pre-orders will begin on Amazon.in from 15 July 2020 onwards for Rs. 499. Upon pre-ordering, users will receive a surprise gift box containing limited-edition merchandise from OnePlus. Pre-order customers who complete the purchase of the device by 31 August will receive a second gift box containing OnePlus Bullets Wireless V1 and a phone cover.
Update: Regarding the assured gift for AR Kit purchases, Amazon customer care in a mail said:
