NPCI’s PAi chatbot helps users with information on UPI, FASTag, RuPay, and more

The usage of digital payments has witnessed a surge lately owing to the pandemic and in an aim to create awareness about the same, the National Payments Corporation of India has launched a new chatbot – PAi in English and Hindi language.

PAi is an artificial intelligence-based chatbot that is developed to create awareness around products of the NPCI like UPI (Unified Payment Interface), FASTag, RuPay, AePS (Aadhar Enabled Payment System), etc on a real-time basis. Users can ask their queries (like What is UPI? UPI Offers, What is RuPay? etc) on NPCI’s products through voice or text in English and Hindi language and get verified automated responses.

The chatbot is developed by CoRover Private Limited, a Bengaluru based startup and support for more regional languages is expected to be added soon. Furthermore, it would also be accessible to global RuPay cardholders as well.

Commenting on the launch, Kunal Kalawatia, Chief of Marketing, NPCI said,
