Acer Predator Triton 500 with 300Hz display and Nitro 5 with 10th Gen Intel Core CPU, up to RTX 2080 announced


Today, Intel announced its latest 10th Gen Mobile-H Series processor that takes on the recently announced AMD Ryzen 4000 Series. OEMs have now announced new laptop models with this latest 10th Gen Intel processor. On similar lines, Acer has now announced the Predator Triton 500 and Nitro 5 gaming laptops.

Acer Predator Triton 500

The Predator Triton 500 flaunts 15.6-inch IPS display with up to a whopping 300Hz refresh rate (optional), compared to 144Hz in last year’s model. It is powered by the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU. It can be configured with up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB SSD.

It now features Acer’s Vortex Flow technology that includes 3 custom-engineered fans placed in the chassis, working in tandem to increase additional airflow while also reducing noise. The cooling system also includes an all-metal 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan. Furthermore, it supports Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i, and E3100G ethernet controller, Control Center 2.0, and the laptop weighs 2.1 kilograms.

Acer Nitro 5

The Nitro 5, on the other hand, flaunts up to 15.6-inch IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and is powered by up to the latest 10th Gen Intel Core i7-10750H processor paired with up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 GPU. It can be configured with up to 32GB DDR4 RAM and 2 x M.2 PCle SSDs and 1 x 1 TB HDD.

It features a dual-fan cooling system, 4 heat vents combined with CoolBoost technology that provide a 25% improvement in thermal performance over last year’s model. Furthermore, it supports Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 (802.11ax) and Killer Ethernet E2600.

The Predator Triton 500 gaming laptop is priced starting at US$ 2199.99 (Rs. 1,67,380 approx.) and will be available from May 2020. The Acer Nitro 5 is priced starting at US$ 799.99 (Rs. 57,060 approx.) and will be available from May 2020.
