Alcatel 3C with 6-inch full-screen display, fingerprint sensor announced


TCL has introduced a new entry-level smartphone – Alcatel 3C in Italy. The company introduced new 1, 3 and 5 smartphone series along with new smartphones -Alcatel 1X, Alcatel 3V, and Alcatel 5 that were showcased last week in CES 2018.

Starting with the elephant in the room, the smartphone features a 6-inch IPS LCD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio with HD+ 1440×720 pixel resolution screen with 76% screen-to-body ratio, protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass on the top for the additional protection. The smartphone runs on an entry-level Quad-core processor from MediaTek (MT8321), paired with 1 GB LPDDR3 RAM and 16 GB onboard flash storage with a dedicated micro SD card slot.

The Alcatel 3C offers an 8MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP fixed focus selfie camera. Both the cameras do support HD video recording (up to 30 frames per second). The fingerprint scanner goes right below the main camera module and looks aesthetically pleasing. The Alcatel 3C gets its juice from the 3000mAh sealed battery.
