Facebook has found a new way to make your birthday extra special. The social network has rolled out a feature dubbed as Birthday Recap Videos (via). As the name suggests, the new tool automatically creates a video the day after your birthday to highlight photos and messages from friends.
The 45-second Birthday Recap Video will appear on top of your News Feed. Users can even edit this video and manually decide which posts they want to highlight, before sharing. The video features a colorful cake that opens up to reveal the posts. In order to see a Birthday Recap Video, you will need to receive more than three Facebook posts or photos on your birthday.
Earlier this year, Facebook had rolled out birthday cam feature that allows users to record special birthday videos for their friends. Facebook started testing its offline video feature in India this month. The feature lets users save videos in the ‘Saved’ section inside the app itself.
