Instagram had announced earlier this year that it was developing special profiles for businesses. Now a screenshot of one such business profile has surfaced.
The photo sharing service is testing new business profiles that are similar to Facebook’s business pages. These business profiles offer a variety of useful features for those who run a business account on Instagram. Currently, the profile pages feature “Contact’ button which is present next to the “Follow” button. This button offers link to email and location information. Tapping the Contact button will give you an option to choose between getting directions to the business or to email the account directly.
In addition, the profiles have general information about the type of business it is. This essentially means that Instagram now offers improved categorization of accounts similar to how Facebook Pages list the type of business underneath their name.
The profiles are currently being tested with a small group of users. Instagram recently announced that it will soon roll out video carousel ads, a move that will let advertisers share up to five separate videos with one single ad purchase
