Samsung announced Galaxy S6 edge+ last week and launched it in India this week for Rs 57,900. We have already taken a look at the hands on and first impressions of the phone and now let’s take a look at the phone in detail in this photo gallery.
The Galaxy S6 edge+ has a 5.7-inch Quad HD (2560×1440 pixels) (518ppi) Super AMOLED curved dual edge display and is powered by a Octa-Core (Quad 2.1GHz + Quad 1.5GHz) 64-bit Exynos 7420 processor. Running Android 5.1.1 (Lollipop), the phone comes with a 4GB LPDDR4 RAM and 32GB internal memory. It does not have a micro SD card slot.
There is a 5MP front-facing camera with f/1.9 aperture at the front along with the earpiece and Samsung logo. Also, present are the usual set of sensors.
The traditional home button is present below the display that also acts as a fingerprint sensor. Also present are two capacitive touch buttons on either side of the home button.
The volume keys are present on the left side.
The power/lock button is situated on the right side of the phone.
A 3.5mm audio jack, microphone, micro USB port and loudspeaker grills are present at the bottom.
A microphone and a nano SIM card slot are present at the top. The phone measures154.4 x 75.8 x 6.9mm and weighs 153g.
At the back the phone has a 16MP rear camera with LED Flash, OIS, f/1.9 aperture and support for 4K(UHD) video recording.
The heart rate sensor is present below the flash. The Samsung branding is also seen at the glass back.
Similar to the S6 Edge, the display on S6 edge+ is curved on both the sides and Samsung has added ‘Apps edge’ to use case of the display edge.The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ comes in Gold Platinum and Silver Titanium colors in India and is priced at Rs. 57,900 for the 32GB variant. It will be available in India starting August 28th.
