From today, in addition to group IM we’ve launched free group voice and group video calls!  You can add up to 25 people to a voice call and up to 10 to a video call, which makes them great for family get-togethers, group guitar lessons, or even to make a movie! ”

posted Skype on a company blog.

In order to make video or voice calls you will have to head to web.skype.com or Outlook.com and sign in. Selecting the +New will start a new conversation for both the platforms. Users can then add friends to the chat, click confirm and start chatting rightaway. Microsoft previously added support for audio and video chats to Outlook.com for users on the new Microsoft Edge browser for Windows 10.
