Samsung has just announced a new bluetooth headset in their LEVEL series of audio accessories. Dubbed LEVEL U, the new headset incorporates an adjustable neck band design.
The aim of the headset is to provide the comfort of headphones while at the same time providing the noise isolating properties of earphones. The LEVEL U weighs just 33 grams thus making it really comfortable to wear around your neck even for long durations. There are controls on the device itself that allow users to adjust the volume, play/resume and seek/skip between the tracks easily.
The device has two built-in microphones, one for your voice and the other for noise cancellation. The 12mm drivers in the earphones offer punchier bass and a more balanced sound overall. It also has Bluetooth 4.1 which can be used to pair to your phone and used along with the Samsung LEVEL app. The LEVEL app is compatible with phones running Android 4.2.2 of later and gives the users information such as alarms, missed calls, scheduled events, remaining battery level etc using the TTS (Text-to-speech) functionality. It also supports vibration alerts and an active icon for your phone. The headset comes with a universal 5 pin charging socket.
It will be available in White, Blue Black, Gold and Blue colours when it launches for a price of US$ 79.99.
