Ola users can now book a TaxiForSure cab directly from its mobile app. At present only hatchback cabs from TaxiForSure are available as the integration is in its initial stage.
TaxiForSure cabs will be available for Ola users in Delhi and Mumbai at first and to other cities in few weeks. The feature is currently live for Ola’s Android app and users will have to get the latest version of the app to use it. Users can book a TaxiForSure cab in a similar way they do for Ola. All TaxiForSure cab rides booked via the Ola app will have to be paid for in cash only for now as there is no other payment option. Also standard TaxiForSure fares will be applicable for these rides.
Ola scooped up TaxiForSure for $200 million in March this year in order to strengthen its place in the online taxi market which includes US based rival Uber. The company secured $400 million in funding from DST Global and others. Ola and TaxiForSure received a respite from Delhi High Court earlier this month to operate in the capital.
