Instagram has updated its mobile apps with three new filters and emoji hashtags. The new filters are called Lark, Reyes, and Juno, and are focused on enhancing outdoor photography.
“Lark desaturates reds while punching up blues and greens to bring your landscapes to life. Reyes brings a dusty, vintage look to your moments. And finally, Juno tints cool tones green while making warm tones pop and whites glow for vibrant photos of people.”
Instagram said in a blog post.
The new Instagram update also allows you to use emojis as hashtags for the first time, giving people the ability to create hashtags that include emojis or center around a particular emoji as well. Similar to any other hashtag, simply type a ‘#’ followed by the emoji of your choice and these emoji hashtags can also be searched. Instagram was last updated in December with five new filters
Instagram for iOS version 6.11.0 is available today in Apple’s App Store, and these updates will be available today in the latest version of Instagram for Android, 6.20.0, in Google Play.
