Acer announced the Liquid Leap Plus smart activeband yesterday at MWC 2015. The latest wearable is the successor to the Liquid Leap announced last year. We went hands on with the device at the event and now lets take a look at it.
Acer Liquid Leap sports a 1” OLED touchscreen and tracks user’s steps, running distance and calories burned. It is compatible with Android, iOS and Windows Phones.
The werable has no physical buttons and the user interface provides music controls (play, pause, previous and next) and email, calendar, sms notifications.
It comes with interchangeable rubber wristbands. The Liquid Leap is waterproof and has an IPX7 waterproof certification.
The interchangeable band is easy to connect and remove and has acer branding on the clip. Acer claims that the Activeband uses low energy Blutooth 4.0 and has an estimated battery life of 5 to 7 days.
