“We’re proud to announce that our little toy company is pairing up with a great big team of tinkerers to empower GAJILLIONS of playful storytellers around the world. Launchpad Toys is joining Google to create even more amazing creativity tools for kids.”

Launchpad announced via company blog.

Launchpad Toys is famous for its well known animation storytelling app called Toontastic. Designed specially for Apple’s iPad, the app allows kids to create their own cartoons and tell a story. As a result of the acquisition, Launchpad Toys has made Toontastic app free that was a paid one earlier. In addition, the company is also making its “digital toys and tools” available for free. Both the companies have not disclosed their future plans.  Last week, Vine launched Vine Kids app on iOS that allows children to watch 6 second videos that are appropriate for their age.
