Xiaomi Mi 4 clone shows up

After their tryst with OnePlus One clones, Chinese OEMs seem to have shifted their focus to the other big thing – the Xiaomi Mi 4. The Mi 4 happens to be an in-demand phone at the moment, and is being sold in very small numbers even in Xiaomi’s home country. The device has gotten so popular that it just got itself a clone.

Among other things that might not be up to par on this clone, the screen is certainly one thing that isn’t nearly as good as the original thing. The clone that we speak of comes with only a 960 x 540 pixel display, while the original Xiaomi Mi 4 comes with a 1920 x 1080p panel.

Xiaomi does have a stringent policy to identify clones and knock-offs, but thanks to a lot of attention to detail, this clone very much looks like the real thing. There’s no word on the actual price of this clone yet, but it shouldn’t sell for anything more than $100-120.
