Idea Cellular has launched new roaming packs that would let you enjoy free incoming calls while roaming nationally. Airtel launched national roaming packs yesterday starting at Rs. 5/day. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) reduced the limit for national roaming tariff for calls and SMS last month. Videocon made incoming calls free back in March without any processing fee or a special tariff vouchers. Other operators are expected to announce free national roaming plans soon.
Idea Cellular offers 2 new vouchers, one voucher is priced at Rs. 230-240, and another priced between Rs. 35-40 that varies depending on the circle. Both these packs offer same rates for local, STD, ISD and SMS the user pays in the home circle. The voucher priced at Rs. 230 to Rs. 240 offer free incoming calls while roaming nationally and voucher that is priced at Rs. 35 to Rs. 40 offers incoming calls at a discounted rate of 75 paise per minute. Both these packs comes with a validity of 6 months from the date of recharge.
These national roaming packs from Idea are available from July 1st across all the 22 circles.
