Uber relaunches auto service in India starting from Bengaluru

Uber launched its uberAUTO service in New Delhi, Coimbatore, Indore, and Bhubaneshwar back in 2015 in an experimental basis, but it later stopped the services. Today the company has relaunched its auto service in the country starting from Bengaluru. You can request for AUTO in the same app that now has a new AUTO option to select in addition to  Pool, Go,  PREMIER, XL and Assist.

AUTO rides start at a fare of Rs. 25 for the first 4 kms inclusive of a pick up charge of Rs. 15 and for rides greater than 4 kms, the regular fare of rs. 13 per km will apply. You can pay cash or use Paytm, UPI, credit and debit card.

Uber AUTO is now available in Koramangala, HSR Layout and Bellandur areas in Bengaluru and will be expanded to other areas of the city soon. However, you can request a ride to any part of the city from these areas. This is definitely the most affordable mode of transport after buses. Uber is expect to launch the auto service in Pune next.
