Android 7.0 Nougat based OxygenOS 4.0 update starts rolling out for OnePlus 3, 3T

The New Year has already started with a bang for OnePlus 3 and OnePls 3T owners. OnePlus has rolled out official Android Nougat 7.0 based OxygenOS 4.0 for OnePlus 3 and 3T users. The company had already promised to roll out stable Android Nougat update for both the phones by the end of this year.

OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei made the announcement via his official Twitter account on December 31st. The update is rolling out on an incremental basis, and users will receive the update in the coming days. The OTA will reach a small percentage of users today followed by a broader rollout in a few days.

The changelog includes:

  • New Notifications Design
  • New Settings Menu Design
  • Multi-Window View
  • Notification Direct Reply
  • Custom DPI Support
  • Added Status Bar Icon Options
  • Improved Shelf Customization

As a result of this update, OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will now run on the same software. If you don’t want to wait for the OTA here is how you can install Android 7.0 Nougat on OnePlus 3.
