Besides the Touch Controllers and Earphones, Oculus also showed off a wireless VR headset prototype dubbed as Santa Cruz at the Oculus Connect 3 conference.

The standalone VR headset does not require a mobile or PC and promises to offer an untethered experience. Santa Cruz looks similar to Rift without wires and comes equipped with sensors and four wide-angle cameras around the edges up front. The unique feature of Santa Cruz is that it sports an inside-out tracking technology that uses cameras on the headset for positional movement which then translates it into your virtual environment.
