Google Search will now let you find best deals on flights and hotels

In a bid to make it easier to search for best deals on flight bookings and hotel, Google has updated its Search functionality.

Google Search is getting an option that allows users to filter hotel search results based on their specific needs. Travelers can filter based on rating or price with one tap on their phones. The aim is to make it easier for users to search exactly what they are looking for. This feature is available in the US and will roll out globally later this year.

Going forward, at the time of searching for a hotel, you will  see a “Deal” label if hotel’s price is lower than usual compared to historical pricing or discounts to the normal rate for those dates. You can also narrow results down by clicking various filters, like “budget” or “luxury.” In addition, Google will also offer tips like “Save $105 if you stay Wed, Jul 13 – Fri, Jul 15”. Hotel Deals and Tips feature will be rolled out globally beginning now and over the coming months.

Google is also making it easier to track flight prices in Google Flights. You can now opt in to track fare changes for a date and route combination or track specific flights being considered. As the prices increase or decrease, you will be notified by email and Google Now cards. This is rolling out over the course of the next few weeks in all 26 countries where Google Flights is available.
