Samsung is working on a next generation smartwatch, according to a latest report from SamMobile. The new smartwatch from the South Korean tech giant is codenamed as Solis which translates to sun in Spanish.

Just for a quick reminder, the Gear S2 was codenamed Orbis. It is speculated that Samsung could go with a round dial for Solis but again a possibility for a rectangular display cannot be denied. The report further reveals model numbers for Solis – SM-R760, SM-R765, SM-R770 SM-R765V, and SM-R765S. The last two models are tipped to be carrier variants.

Moving on to the software part, it looks like Samsung has skipped Android Wear for this one and is going with Tizen OS that will sport an updated user interface. Unfortunately, no other specifications of the watch are known as of now but it could have some new features and improved specs than the Gear S2. It could sport a larger display and probably a longer battery life.
