Facebook tweaks News Feed yet again to offer better content

Facebook has made some changes to its News Feed algorithm, yet again. The social network is tweaking the News Feed this time to eliminate the posts which are not relevant to you.

Facebook News Feed

Facebook said that the latest update in the News Feed changes the way content appears at the top of your feed. The tweak which is based on users feedback works on two things –  the probability that you will want to see a story at the top of the News Feed and the probability that you will like, comment, or share it. The social network will rank stories higher in feed, which according to Facebook, people might take action on, and which people might want to see near the top of their News Feed.

Explaining on how the latest update in the News Feed will impact users, Facebook says that it will vary depending on the composition of your audience and your posting activity. In general this update should not impact reach or referral traffic meaningfully for the majority of Pages. The latest change could be helpful particularly for publishers and other Page owners.
