Microsoft Garage rolls out quick note taking app Parchi for Android


Microsoft Garage has launched a new note taking app for Android. Dubbed as Parchi, it is said to be a quick and light-weight note taking app.

Parchi (pur-chih) is a Hindi word that refers to small pieces of paper for taking quick/short notes.The app is designed to capture small bites of information on the go. One of the key features of the app is that the notes can be accessed directly from the lock screen. Parchi enables you to use hashtags to filter the search later and even allows ‘Quick notes’. The app includes text, list, and pictures and you cam even add coloured notes, mark as favourite, or pin to lock screen features.

The Parchi app also comes with share option that allows sharing the notes over WhatsApp, mail, and SMS among others. The app even offers option to backup notes. It identifies phone numbers and take quick actions like ‘add to contact’ or ‘call’. URLs can be selected or opened while email addresses can be easily copied. Some other apps from Microsoft Garage are Tossup, Picturesque Lock screen app, email app Send.
