ZTE Grand S3 with 5.5-inch 1080p display, Eyeprint ID unlocking, 3GB RAM announced

ZTE has announced Grand S3, successor of last year’s Grand S II smartphone at the MWC 2015. The main highlight of the smartphone is its Eyeprint ID password-free eye-based biometric unlocking solution from EyeVerify. It works by imaging unique vein patterns in the human eye using the smartphone’s front facing camera, says the company.

It has the same 5.5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD IPS display based on One Glass Solution (OGS) technology, but this is powered by a 2.5 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 801 processor, runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS, comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It supports 4G LTE, packs 2GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory with expansion slot and a 3100mAh battery.

The ZTE Grand S3 comes in Black color and is priced at 2999 Chinese Yuan (Rs. 29,500 approx). It is already on sale in China, but there are no details about the global roll out.
