HTC announced the Desire EYE in India at the Double Exposure event back in October. It was supposed to go on sale in the country exclusively on Amazon late November, but it didn’t happen. Today Mumbai-based retailer Manish Khatri from Mahesh Telecom said that the HTC Desire EYE would be available from select offline stores in India starting today. The Desire EYE is still not available on Amazon and is expected to go on sale soon.
HTC launched the One M8 EYE in India back in October for Rs. 38,990 that has a 13MP primary rear camera, instead of Ultrapixel camera on the One M8, but Desire EYE a 13-megapixel front camera with dual LED flash even on the front. The One M8 EYE now retails for around Rs. 35,000 online.
The Desire EYE comes with dedicated two-step camera key for focus, and capture for comfortable one-handed captures, new HTC EYE Experience and Zoe 1.0. It has dual front-facing stereo speakers with built-in amplifiers, similar to other HTC smartphones and has water-resistant unibody design.

Update: The retailer confirms the MRP as Rs. 36,990. HTC is yet to reveal when it will go on sale on Amazon.
