Sony Xperia ZL2 with 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 801 announced

Sony has announced Xperia ZL2 (SOL25), the successor of last year’s Xperia ZL for Japanese operator KDDI in their Summer line-up. It has a 5-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) Triluminos Display powered by X-Reality, powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat).

It has a 20.7-megapixel rear camera with 1/2.3″ Sony Exmor RS image sensor, 4K video recording and a 3.1-megapixel front-facing camera. It also has IP55 / IP58 rating for dust and water resistance, similar to Z2. It has all the other features present in the Xperia Z2.

The Sony Xperia ZL2 comes in Turquoise, White and Black colors and would be available from the operator late May 2014.
