Sony Electronics has expanded its wearable audio portfolio with the launch of LinkBuds Clip, truly wireless open-ear earbuds that allow users to listen to audio while staying aware of their surroundings.
The C-shaped design fits a wide range of ear shapes without entering the ear canal, provides stability, and can be customized with optional Fitting Cushions and case covers for a secure fit during activities like running.
The earbuds include three listening modes:
- Standard Mode for clear audio and detailed sound
- Voice Boost Mode to amplify voices in noisy environments
- Sound Leakage Reduction Mode for private listening in quiet areas
Audio is enhanced with DSEE music upscaling, 360 Reality Audio, Background Music Effect, and a 10-band customizable EQ via the Sony | Sound Connect app, including the “Find Your Own Equalizer” feature. The open-ear design uses Sony’s tuning expertise from the 1000X series for natural, expansive sound.
For calls and connectivity, the earbuds feature advanced voice signal processing with a bone conduction sensor and AI-based noise reduction for clear voice capture. Additional features include Multipoint Connection for device switching, tap controls for quick operation, and scene-based listening that adapts sound to surroundings and activities.
Battery and durability include up to 37 hours of use, quick charging (one hour of playback after three minutes of charging), and IPX4 water resistance. The packaging is fully plastic-free, with approximately 20% of the plastic used being recycled.
