Headphone Zone and ddHiFi have introduced two Type-C cables designed for IEM users who prefer a single-cable, plug-and-play audio setup. The new cables integrate Hi-Res DAC hardware directly into the cable, removing the need for a separate dongle or external device.
Headphone Zone X ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC Cable
- Uses the CX31993 DAC chip, also found in the standalone Headphone Zone X ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC.
- Delivers up to 45mW output at 32Ω.
- Supports 32-bit/384kHz PCM audio decoding.
- Designed to provide a clean audio signal with a low noise floor through a direct USB-C connection.

Headphone Zone X ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC Pro Cable
- Adds an independent MAX97220 amplifier stage.
- Delivers up to 65mW output at 32Ω with output levels reaching 1450mV.
- Uses the same DAC and amplifier configuration as the standalone Hi-Res DAC, integrated into a cable form factor.
- Intended for IEMs that require higher power output.

Both cables feature silver-plated copper construction, in-line controls for music playback and calls, and USB-C plug-and-play compatibility.

Pricing and Availability
The Headphone Zone X ddHiFi Hi-Res DAC Cable is priced at Rs. 1,999, while the Hi-Res DAC Pro Cable is priced at Rs. 2,999, and both are available exclusively via Headphone Zone.
Speaking on the launch, Raghav Somani, Founder and CEO, Headphone Zone, said:
We listened to our community. A lot of people love the convenience of Type-C cables but hate how they sound. They don’t want to carry a separate DAC. They just want to plug in and listen. The problem is, most Type-C cables use cheap chipsets that make your IEMs sound worse, not better.
So we asked ourselves: what if we put a real DAC inside the cable? Not a compromise. Not a cheap chip. The actual CX31993 that powers our popular Hi-Res DAC. And for people who need more power, we added the MAX97220 amp as well.
The standard cable is priced at ₹1,999, the same as our Hi-Res DAC dongle. You’re not paying extra for the cable form factor. You’re just getting a different way to experience the same audio quality.
