KRAFTON India, in partnership with District, has announced that electronic music producer Alan Walker will headline the BATTLEGROUNDS MOBILE INDIA INTERNATIONAL CUP (BMIC) 2026.
The three-day esports tournament is scheduled to take place from October 30 to November 1 at the Dome, SVP Indoor Stadium (NSCI), Mumbai, with ticketing hosted on District.
The performance marks a continuation of Walker’s association with the title. In 2024, his track “Hero” was integrated directly into the game as part of the “Be A Hero” campaign, serving as lobby music and anchoring several themed in-game events. Walker is now slated to open the international tournament in person.
On the competitive side, BMIC 2026 will feature 16 professional teams: six from India, five from South Korea, and five from Japan. The squads will compete over three days for a share of a ₹1 Crore total prize pool, alongside qualification berths for the Global Championship 2026.
The Indian contingent will be led by newly crowned BMSD 2026 champions iQOO SouL, alongside Gladiators Esports, iQOO 8Bit, K9 Esports, Blitz Epigrotive Gaming, and Outrage Esports, all of whom secured their positions through domestic qualification circuits.
The collaboration between KRAFTON India and District combines international esports competition with live entertainment programming. Ticket sales for the event are currently live on the District platform.
Commenting on his return, Alan Walker said:
India, I’m coming home! The love I’ve received from BGMI players since ‘Hero’ became part of the game has been incredible, and I’m excited to perform for this community in person. BMIC 2026 brings together two things I’m passionate about – gaming and music – and I can’t wait to be part of it. Bring your squad, and let’s make some noise.
Speaking on the announcement, Karan Pathak, Associate Director – Esports, KRAFTON India, said:
When ‘Hero’ became part of the BGMI lobby, our community embraced it as its own anthem. Bringing Alan Walker to BMIC 2026 takes that association from the game to the live stage. BMIC is a platform for the best teams in Asia to compete at the highest level, and we look forward to welcoming fans to Mumbai for an unforgettable weekend.
