OPPO has confirmed that its upcoming flagship, the Find X10 Pro Max, will launch in international markets powered by MediaTek’s newly announced Dimensity 9600 Pro processor. The device will be among the first commercial smartphones to incorporate the new system-on-chip (SoC).
Architecture and Manufacturing
The MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro is manufactured using TSMC’s 2nm N2P process node. According to benchmark figures provided by the companies, the node transition yields up to a 61% improvement in CPU multi-core energy efficiency compared to its predecessor. This gain is aimed at sustaining performance under prolonged compute loads and managing the thermal and power demands of on-device artificial intelligence tasks.
Core Processing Specifications
The chipset retains MediaTek’s All-Big-Core CPU layout, updated with a revised core distribution:
- CPU Configuration: Two prime C2-Ultra cores clocked at up to 4.55GHz, paired with six high-performance cores. Overall CPU performance increases by approximately 17%.
- Power Management: Independent frequency scaling per core allows granular task allocation across varying workloads.
- Graphics: The integrated G2-Ultra NX GPU brings hardware ray-tracing updates and neural graphics rendering features. Sustained GPU throughput shows an estimated 27% increase under intensive graphical loads.
Dedicated AI Compute
The Dimensity 9600 Pro integrates a dual-unit Neural Processing Unit (NPU) architecture designed to divide workloads based on intensity:
