vivo T5 Unboxing and First Impressions

vivo today launched the vivo T5, the company’s latest smartphone in the T series in India. Here we have the unboxing and first impressions of the phone.

The phone packs a large 6.83″ 1.5K 3D curved AMOLED screen with 144Hz refresh rate, making it bigger and smoother than the predecessor. It has up to 2000 nits of peak brightness.

The phone has a 32MP front camera inside the punch-hole, and there is a small bezel below the screen. The earpiece doubles up as a secondary speaker.

It is the first vivo phone to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7500 SoC. It has up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB storage. The phone also has 3800mm² vapor chamber cooling system. It runs Android 16 with Origin OS 6 on top that brings several AI features such as AI-Powered Transcription & Summarization. The phone will get 3 years of Android OS upgrades and 5 years of security patches.

The power button and the volume rockers are on the right; the dual SIM slot is present on the bottom along with the USB Type-C port and the speaker vent. The secondary microphone, speaker vent, and IR blaster are rare on the top. The phone is just 7.99mm thick.

On the back there is a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor along with an 8MP ultra-wide camera and an LED flash. It has Aura light in the camera bar. It supports 4K video recording with both the front and rear cameras. Check out some camera samples.

The vivo T5 comes in Silver Green, that uses Aurora Liquid Crystal process for shifting color reflections. It also comes in the Royal Bronze color.

It has IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. The phone packs a huge 7050mAh BlueVolt battery yet weighs 199g.

Priced starting at Rs. 34,999, the phone will be available starting at an effective price of Rs. 31,499 with bank offers and coupon offer from Flipkart, the vivo India e-store, and partner offline retail outlets starting September 9, 2026.
